Terms of Service — Family Lens

Summary: This is a pre-launch website. By using it or joining the waitlist, you agree to these Terms. The Site and waitlist are provided on an "as is" basis while the Family Lens app is in development.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Family Lens website (the "Site"), operated by Family Lens ("Family Lens," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using the Site, including by joining our waitlist, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

The service

The Site is a pre-launch marketing website for the Family Lens app, which is still in development. It lets you learn about Family Lens and join a waitlist to be notified when the app launches. Features described on the Site reflect our plans and may change. The app itself is not yet available, and these Terms do not grant you any right to use it.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) to submit your email address or otherwise interact with the Site. By using the Site, you represent that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.

Joining the waitlist and communications

Summary: Provide your email address to receive launch updates. You may unsubscribe at any time.

If you submit your email address, you agree that we may contact you about Family Lens, including launch updates and early-access invitations. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in our emails or by contacting us. Your information is handled as described in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms.

Acceptable use

When using the Site, you agree not to:

Use the Site for any unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent purpose;
Submit false information or someone else's information without permission;
Interfere with or disrupt the Site, its security, or its underlying infrastructure;
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any system or data;
Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or harvest data from the Site without our consent; or
Submit spam or attempt to send unsolicited communications through our forms.

Intellectual property

The Site and its content—including text, graphics, illustrations, logos, and design—are owned by Family Lens or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. The "Family Lens" name and logo are our trademarks. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, or use our content for commercial purposes without our prior written permission.

Third-party links and services

The Site uses third-party services (such as Formspree for our signup form and Google Analytics for usage measurement) and may link to third-party websites or app stores. We do not control those services and are not responsible for their content, policies, or practices. Your use of them is at your own risk and subject to their terms.

We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any product described on it will be released or perform as described.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Family Lens and its team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising out of or related to your use of the Site. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Family Lens from any claims, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the Site or your violation of these Terms.

Changes to the Site and these Terms

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Site (or any part of it) at any time. We may also update these Terms from time to time; when we do, we will revise the "Effective date" above. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You agree that any dispute arising from these Terms or the Site will be resolved in the courts located there, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
